Apple have announced their second attempt at a smartwatch. The Series 2 has similar design to the original, but it is slightly thicker. Apple are keeping in touch with the fitness side of things as this new watch has built-in GPS, allowing for more advanced and accurate tracking enabling you to leave your phone at home and go for a run.
The watch is also water resistance to 50 meters, allowing you to take it for a swim – As encouraged by Apple themselves.
The processor has had an update too meaning it is much faster and has a screen twice as bright. There is a ceramic finish and comes in aluminium and stainless steel cases.
The Series 2 is available to pre-order as of today and is released on September 19th. The Series 2 more expensive than the original at launch and will be priced at £369/$369
For those who want a faster watch but for cheaper, Apple will sell their first watch with this new processor – The Series 1.
