Apple have announced many new products including the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus. But neither of these have any new features that would make me ditch the original 6.
Both new iPhones will come with Apple’s new iPhone 6s will come with their new iOS 9.
When it comes to specs, both are very similar. Both new iPhones will have the new A9 processor and will double their RAM from 1GB to 2GB (most new Android phones come with 3GB RAM). The camera has a boost from a 21MP front to 5MP and the rear camera boosts from an 8MP to a generous 12MP. For me the camera upgrade is the best thing about this phone.
Apple’s 3D touch is not something new. Pressing on an icon to bring up a menu instead of tapping to open is something seen everyday (to those who own any other phone). 3D touch gives you the option, for example, to right click or left click on an app, picture, video etc. Unlike Force Touch, this can tell the difference between a soft touch and a harder touch. But I still think its a gimmick, and here’s why:
Just like Apple’s ‘Smart keyboard’ which is essentially Microsoft’s smart cover and the Apple Pencil, which again is just the same as the stylus Microsoft have used for years with their Surface tablet, 3D touch has been around for many years within Android phones. It just never got a name. Why? Because it’s nothing special.
Apple have branded this feature in the new iPhone’s and bothe the 6s and the 6s Plus have this “new” feature.
